Betabrand has been at the forefront of blending fashion and function for over a decade. But we’re best known for our most iconic and everlasting product, the Dress Pant Yoga Pant or “DPYP”.
The Evolution of the Dress Pant Yoga Pant
It all started in 2010 with a simple idea—to create a pair of pants that looked sleek and structured enough to be dress pants, but felt as stretchy and comfortable as yoga pants. The concept was born out of our own frustration with the restrictive nature of traditional workwear, which often felt stiff, uncomfortable, high-maintenance, and ill-suited for the dynamic lifestyles of modern professionals.
With this vision in mind, our design team went to work. After countless iterations and extensive testing, the Dress Pant Yoga Pant was born. The launch of the DPYP in 2011 was met with an overwhelming response from consumers. People were captivated by the idea of a pant that could effortlessly transition from the boardroom to the yoga studio.
We continued to refine and expand the Dress Pant Yoga Pant line, resulting in our two current best-selling styles: the Classic and the 7-Pocket. These are the pants that almost all our customers start with, and many return for their second, third, or even sixth pair.

Our 7-Pocket Dress Pant Yoga Pant strikes the perfect balance between functionality and comfort. Made of a luxuriously cozy 4-way stretch ponte fabric, featuring seven functional pockets. The three thoughtfully-hidden pockets add practicality for your phone, wallet, keys… snacks? Available in Straight, Boot Cut, and Skinny, the 7-Pocket's fit creates clean lines and an upleveled look— ideal for both relaxing at home and a busy day at the office.
